IMPAX-TSS Process Monitors

The IMPAX TSS Time Saver System combines state-of-the art technology with user-friendly software to create a powerful machine efficiency and downtime tracking system. TSS monitors work as stand-alone units and are also networkable, forming the most flexible production monitoring and downtime analysis system available to the industry.

IMPAX TSS-6:
Touch Screen Efficiency Monitoring

Supports Six Sigma Efforts

In the TSS-6, downtime analysis and production monitoring are incorporated into an inexpensive easy-to-use touchscreen system. With the simple press of an icon, a user can navigate the system to view production totals, tool life indicators, machine speed, efficiency data, and accumulated shift uptime/downtime. All occurrences of downtime, and the corresponding reasons, are archived in the system as well. Passwords and special user screens can be used to control operator access, and the archived data can be transferred over a network into a PC database for further evaluation and customizable report generation.

The TSS-6 can analyze input signals from a variety of sensors or machine controllers to determine the status and speed of any process. The system analyzes and displays machine run condition and other information. In the event of a machine/process stop, the unit automatically converts to downtime entry mode. Operators select from pre-defined downtime reasons in order to restart the machine, so all downtime information is accurate. Screens available to a manager then display a summary of downtime occurrences and total time for each downtime reason.

As a standalone monitor, the TSS-6 collects complete and accurate data and stores it for review. As part of a networked data collection system, it can also deliver accurate, real-time data to a computer or database. A networked PC running TSS Networking Software provides easy-to-use and powerful analysis tools for collected data.

IMPAX TSS:
Economical Downtime Monitoring

Supports Six Sigma Efforts

The IMPAX TSS monitor offers production and downtime monitoring comparable to the TSS-6, without any user interface. This makes the TSS an extremely affordable alternative for machine monitoring. Uptime and downtime data is automatically recorded, directly from the machine, eliminating the expense of the touch screen. Data is stored in the monitor and can be viewed across a network connection. The TSS can also be upgraded to a full TSS-6 monitor with touch screen, if additional features are later desired.

The TSS automatically collects machine data, including production counts, uptime and downtime, downtime occurrences, and machine efficiencies. This information is stored in the monitor in daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly totals. Because there is no touch screen, downtime reasons, part numbers, and operator numbers cannot be entered, and tool/maintenance counters cannot be displayed. However, if these items are later desired, the TSS can be upgraded, providing full access to the TSS-6's features.

The TSS has all the features of the TSS-6 listed above, except those that require entering data through the touch screen. TSS data and system settings are accessible through a required networking connection. TSS, TSS-6, and TSS-3 monitors will also operate on the same network. This means that you can mix TSS's for automatic data recording with other TSS models for more complete downtime tracking, and view data for your entire shop floor all at once.
